Lara Angel grew up in the Netherlands surrounded by her family who have deep roots in the fashion industry. As a result she studied fashion in The Netherlands and later moved to London to pursue a career on the Head Office off the iconic British fashion and luxury goods, Browns Fashion.

Upon her return to the Netherlands, she became involved with the family fashion business, where she still plays an active role. Over the last few years, Lara rediscovered her passion for jewellery design and began AGAIYA. Taking her inspiration from the beauty and diversity of nature, the brand is the personification of the Greek Goddess of Earth, “Gaia”, the ancestral mother of all life and everything beautiful created in the world, and the natural Agate stones used in the designs.

The Dutch designer fuses her fashion industry expertise together with her love of nature into elegant and timeless designs. All designs are handmade in London using 18K yellow gold plated Agate stones and natural Coral. Each piece is an ethereal vision of precious stones and unique structures. AGAIYA is an interpretation and expression of facets of the nature all around us, strongly influenced by the beauty of imperfection.
